Finding artwork
How do I browse the site?
Browsing for artwork is easy. You can view all of the top voted or most recent artwork. And you can view the pieces by each artist. Or just choose the surprise me button for a random selection of arty goodness.
Once you’ve clicked on ‘Browse’ (at the top of the page), click the Top Voted artwork to see the pieces with the most amount of votes,
You can also view the most recently added artwork.
Is there a list of artists that have artwork on the site?
Sure is! You can view the full list of artists by clicking on this link.
You can also do a search for an by using the search box, or you can search by Tags.
What are the “Our Favourites” pieces, on the right hand side panel?
You can click on our favourites to see the pieces that we’re really digging at the moment.
Or just choose the surprise me tab for a random selection or arty goodness.
Buying artwork
How do I buy a piece of artwork?
Once you’ve found something that you like, click on the image to find out some more information. If you’re still interested, just hit the ‘Add to cart’ button, and that will add the piece to your shopping cart. Your shopping cart will remember what artworks you’ve added.
From there you can go back and add more pieces to your car. Or, if you’re happy with just the one piece, head over to the Checkout section by clicking on the ‘Checkout’ button (just underneath the shopping cart picture).
Once you’ve hit ‘Checkout’, make sure you review your order before heading over to Paypal to make your payment. Double check that you’ve selected the right item, and be sure to select where you live, so that we can calculate the shipping cost.
Then click on the ‘Proceed to PayPal’ button to complete your purchase.
How is the artwork shipped?
We really want to make sure that the artwork you purchase arrives at your doorstep undamaged and crease free.
- For artwork up to A3 in size, we flat pack the pieces using sturdy cardboard, and use bubble wrap for extra safety.
- Artwork larger than A3 is packed in a strong shipping tube with bubble wrap at each end.
And all artwork is sent in protective plastic (acid-free of course) to ensure that the artwork is kept waterproof along its journey.
What happens if my purchase arrives and it’s damaged?
If the print has turned up and it has been damaged along the way,
and we’ll be happy to send a replacement.

When will my order arrive?
We do our best to send your order as early as we can. But we’ll definitely have it printed, shipped and on its way within a week of when you made your order.
Voting for artwork
How do I vote for artwork?
It’s easy. Just click on that little ‘Thumbs Up’ symbol, and your vote is counted.
You can vote for as many pieces as you like. But you can only vote once on any piece. If you see a ‘Tick’ symbol instead of the thumbs up, it means that you’ve already voted for that piece.
And why exactly would I want to vote for artwork?
Because you like it! It’s a random act of kindness. A show of appreciation. It’s like clapping the band.
Voting for artwork won’t earn you money or win you a prize. But that shouldn’t stop you from doing it.
Selling your artwork
Can I sell my artwork?
Perhaps. We’re always looking for new artists, so you’re welcome to submit some art to the website. You can do that by going over to the Sell page.
But we are quite choosy about what work that we sell on the site. It has to be very good quality. Which means that if your art is chosen, it will be in good company, displayed alongside other great work.
How is the pricing determined?
The prices are something that i vote for art and the artists agree on together. We try and find a balance between keeping the artwork affordable, and ensuring that artists are fairly rewarded.
What commisions do the good people at ivoteforart.com take?
There are two commission rates:
- For artworks supplied by the artist, our take will be 30% of the sale profits.
- When we are arranging the printing for you that becomes 40%.

If I want to sell prints of my work, who organises the printing?
That’s up to you, But if you’d like us to handle the printing, we’ve got it covered. We do high quality Giclee prints of your digital artwork using quality inks and Hahnemuhle and Crane Photo Rag paper. So you can be sure that your work will look great.
But, of course, you can do your own printing if you’d prefer. That’s fine by us.
