About the artist
Lawrence Yang was born and raised in the Chicago area. After school, he moved out to San Francisco and has been living, working and painting there ever since. He wrestles with informational abstractions by day and paints the demons out of his head by night. Lawrence's paintings are influenced by traditional Chinese painting and pop surrealism, and are mostly concerned with creating order out of chaos - - or vice versa.
